Aral supports the talents in the planet’s most competitive young-driver series

FIA Formula 3 European Championship logoThe market leader on the German petrol-station market, Aral, continues its involvement in the international young-talent series, in 2013.

By doing so, Aral supports the talents in the planet’s most competitive young-driver series in a very special way. In every Formula 3 event contested in the DTM support programme, the mineral-oil supplier provides – free of charge – 200 litres Aral Ultimate 102, per car. With this high-performance fuel, drivers, engineers and mechanics can make maximum use of the car’s potential to provide the fans motor racing at the highest level.

“We are delighted about the fact that our cooperation with Aral – a well-established long-term partner of DTM – is also continued in Formula 3, now,” says Walter Mertes, Managing Director of the Formel 3 Vermarktungs GmbH. “With the involvement in the FIA Formula 3 European Championship, Aral supports the best young talents of the world on their way to the top motor-racing categories, thus demonstrating its appreciation for this outstanding young-gun series.”

“For Aral, supporting promising motor-racing talents to offer them the chance of honing their skills in a professional environment such as the FIA Formula 3 European Championship to later follow the footsteps of the likes of Sebastian Vettel or Lewis Hamilton represents the perfect kind of young-driver promotion. With our high-performance fuel Aral Ultimate 102, the drivers can make use of the maximum power of their vehicles. The use of Aral Ultimate 102 in such a professional series demonstrates the high quality of this petrol that also can be purchased by every motor-racing enthusiast at the more than 1,600 Aral petrol stations in Germany”, explains Robert Mehrtens, Fuels Product Manager Germany and responsible for the BP/Aral sponsoring.

On the coming weekend, the Formula 3 European Championship is going to already contest the seventh to ninth rounds of its 2013 season. At the Hockenheimring Baden-Württemberg, the German motor-racing enthusiasts will have the chance of witnessing the Formula 3 action live and on site for the first time, this year. The practice session on Friday will be followed by two qualifying sessions where the drivers will fight for the grid positions for the three races of the weekend. And then, on Saturday and Sunday, the 29-car-field featuring hungry drivers from 15 countries will battle it out for valuable championship points. The European Champion will be rewarded – inter alia – with a Formula 1 test for the Scuderia Ferrari.
